How it all started

FlyingFish Sushi Bar and Restaurant is a family owned business, run by father & son team, Nha and David Le. Interestingly enough, we are actually Vietnamese and not Japanese! We emigrated from Vietnam to Tulsa 34 years ago and 30 of those years were spent working in the corporate world. But during that time, in the back of my mind, I always dreamt of running my very own business. That dream finally came to fruition when I had the opportunity to take an early retirement. My son, David, whom at the time had been working in and managing a restaurant business for over 20 years, encouraged me to take that leap and to start a business together. The result is the FlyingFish Sushi Bar and Restaurant!

We have lived in Tulsa most of our lives. We love the city, its residents and couldn’t imagine opening a restaurant anywhere else. Our goal is to create simple, authentic and great tasting Asian cuisine with only the finest ingredients available. We strive to provide impeccable service in a casual dining atmosphere.

It has been a great adventure for us in opening this restaurant. Thank you for your support and patronage Tulsa!
